Mahelet Mamo found her daughter

Mahlet Mamo signed and gave her daughter, Edlawit, for adoption in 2009. Mahlet said she was a 6th-grade teenager when she gave birth to her daughter. Her father denied her and didn’t want to involve in her life. I was not mature, I was 17 years old. I gave her for adoption because I had no option and I didn’t want to mess up my daughter’s life and future. I gave her two months after I delivered I did it for her better future, Mahlet said.
